About Me
Meet Your Doula
Hello! I'm so glad you are here. My name is Gail. I live in a small town in rural central Illinois. My passion for birth began when my close friends started their families. Some came away with magical births and others had very traumatic experiences. I realized birth wasn't as simple as I thought it was. Having a birth you desired was something you needed to advocate for. This began my ever increasing research of birth and all the ways to help mama have the birth she wants. I traveled to South Carolina in 2024 to participate in a training to become certified as a birth and postpartum doula as well as a lactation consultant. This training fueled my love for birth even more. I believe that every mom should have a voice during her birth. She was created for this moment and no doctor should take that voice from her. I am here to help you find that voice and be there to keep that voice loud. Postpartum is also very important to me. You just gave birth to a baby and it is important to rest and give your body and brain grace. My goal is to be a help to you and your home while you adjust to the new member of your family.
